Project: Blessed Sacrament Church – Fire Rebuild & Addition
Click on any picture for larger image Following a Christmas 1984 fire, the existing church sanctuary was redesigned and rebuilt. A new west entrance and gathering area was added that tied into the new west parking lot. The interior of the existing church has a new redesigned fan-shaped pew seating layout and new altar placement that coincides with a new gable end dormer roof above the altar with “faceted (stained) glass”. This new church rebuild is located in Grand Island, Nebraska was completed in 1985. It has approximately 14,625 square feet and seats about 1,000 worshipers. This project was done by Project Design Architect Marvin Webb, AIA while working with another architecture firm. |
